Combating loneliness this Christmas
Imagine a day when…
you did not see anyone…
no one called in…
no one phoned, or texted or Facebooked you…
you had no contact with anyone else from getting up to going to bed.
To some, that sounds like bliss.
Now imagine that the next day was the same,
and the next,
and the next…
Loneliness can hit all people, but it is more likely to affect older people.

Christmas is a time of family, presents and celebration. For some it isnt a time of joy.
This is where the dedicated volunteersat Feeding Families can help. Their mission is to provide Christmas food hampers which volunteers provide and distribute to alleviate hunger and to support those struggling with the added pressures of the season. They also work alongside businesses to collect food and monetary donations to be made into hampers and distribute through local charities.
